Bekah Bradley self titled EP "Bekah Bradley" is now available!
Monday night was the finals for the state competition in the Texaco Country Showdown. I won the local contest at the Hamler Country Fest in Hamler, Ohio. 105.7 The Bull put on the contest. The state competition was in Marietta, Ohio, which was a long 5 hour drive for me. The contest started at 6:30 and it was not ideal conditions at all. It was cold and rainy and I had packed a dress and cowboy boots to wear. We had to stop at the mall on the way to get a warmer outfit. Ha.
Everyone was so talented in the contest. I sang with a back-up band that was provided for us and I sang an original song called Press On and then Believe by Brooks and Dunn. I ended up winning and I was so overly excited. The regional finals are in Hershey, PA on October 29th and there are 6 people competing. I can’t wait. From there the winner goes on to the national finals in Nashville, TN, where the winner will receive $100,000.
Apparently this contest has been going on for 30 years and this is the first year that I heard of it, but I’m so excited….you can’t even image.
More on the win can be found here.
